IoT-based smart gardening utulizing solar panel technology
The Covid-19 pandemic has hit Indonesia, causing many parties to experience food shortages. Agricultural producers are certainly affected by the decrease in the absorption of agricultural products. The development of solutions to these problems is a tool called Tanam that can make it easier for users to carry out plantation activities, and develop plants with the concept of smart gardening. This tool utilizes solar panel energy as a source of electricity. With the help of solar panels, this tool called "Tanam" will be more environmentally friendly. This tool is accompanied by an application called Internet of Things (IoT)-based Planting. Users can also combine temperature and humidity conditions around the plant, as well as soil moisture. The method used in this system is the Waterfall method which includes requirements definition, system and software design, implementation and unit testing, integration and system testing, and operation and maintenance. Testing in this system uses the black box method and questionnaires obtained from ten respondents. The test results show that the whole system works well with errors of 0.06 for temparature testung using DHT 22 Sensor, 0.02 for Humidity testing using DHT 22 Sensor, 3.6 for Soil Moisture Testing, 0.013 for Current sensor using multitester, and 0.08 for Data Voltage using multi tester.
