The influence of consumption, production and gross domestic on the volume of beef import from Australia



The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of consumption, production and

gross domestic product on the volume of beef import from Australia in period 2010-

2019. The study utilized quantitative research method. The data sources collected

from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) and trademap.org. The study explored with

multiple linear regression statistical analysis, along with descriptive analysis and

classical assumption test namely normality test, heteroscedastisity test,

multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test, and linearity test. The result showed that

consumption, production and gross domestic product influenced the volume of beef

import from Australia by 73.3%. Meanwhile, the remaining 26,7% is explained by

another variables that are not examined in this study. However, the t-test result

showed that consumption had insignificant effect on the volume of beef import

partially. Meanwhile, production had significant negative effect on the volume of

beef import. Based on the t-test, gross domestic product also had partial significant

positive effect on the volume of beef import
