The influence of work motivation and work environment on employee job satisfaction : case study PT. Indonesia Power PLTU Jawa Tengah 2 Adipala Operation and Maintenancew Service Unit



This study aims to determine the influence of work motivation and work environment

both partially and simultaneously on job satisfaction of the employees of PT

Indonesia Power PLTU Jawa Tengah 2 Adipala Operation and Maintenance Service

Unit. This research is a associative research using a quantitative approach and the

research instrument is a questionnaire. The sample in this study was employees of PT

Indonesia Power PLTU Jawa Tengah 2 Adipala Operation and Maintenance Service

Unit with the total of 51 people. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear

regression analysis along with classic assumption test namely normality test,

multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and linearity test. The t-test showed that

work motivation has significant influence on employee job satisfaction with 3.928 in

t-count and sign of 0.000. Work environment has result of 7.225 in t-count and has

significant influence in employee job satisfaction with sign value of 0.000. The F-Test

showed that both work motivation and work environment simultaneously have a

significant influence with f-count of 43.257 and sign value of 0.000. Based on

determinant coefficient, work motivation and work environment have an influence on

job satisfaction by 62.8%. Meanwhile, the remaining 37.2% was explained by

another variable that was not examined in this study.
