Pengaruh kompensasi dan lingkungan kerja terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan K3 proyek jalan Batang-Semarang seksi 4-5 PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk



The main problems occuring in Batang-Semarang Toll Road Section 4-5 are the poor conditions of compensation and work environmet that make decreasing work motivation of HSE’s employees. The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze the influence of compensation (X1) and work environment (X2) toward work motivation (Y) on Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) Employees’ at BatangSemarang Toll Road Section 4-5 PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk. Collecting data method used in this research are interview, literature review, observation and questionnaire. The questionnaire used in this research is likert with 4 point of scale and the sampling technique used is census technique as many as 30 samples. The analyzing data instruments used are validity testing, reliability testing, and respondent description analysis. While the analyzing data techniques used are Ttest, F-test, the coefficient of determination and multiple regression. Based on the calculations using SPSS version 23, the results of this research shows that the significance of F-test is less than 0.05. So there is significant influence among independent variables – compensation (X1) and work environment (X2), toward dependent variable – work motivation (Y) simultaneously. Then, the T-test result is bigger than T table and has significance result less than significance level of 0.05. So, it can be concluded that there is significant influence among independent variables – compensation (X1) and work environment (X2), toward dependent variable – work motivation (Y) partially. The most dominan variable is work environment. The result of this study shows that coefficient of determination in Adjusted R Square is 0,74, meaning that 74% of work motivation influence can be explained by both of independent variables in this study that are compensation and work environment. The rest 26% can be explained by other variables outside the model of this study.
