PT Sandang Asia Maju Abadi as garment company had the main raw material of fabric especially 100% cotton woven fabric twill. In inventory control PT Sandang Asia Maju Abadi applies JIT method which is based on the buyer’s order. JIT method was used by the company with the purpose to minimize inventory cost. But by using JIT method there was risk of delayed raw material arrival. Because of that, the company had to spend more cost to handle the risk. The purpose of this research is to compare the inventory control method which had been used by company (JIT) with another method that is EOQ method as well as to determines the safety stock and reorder point. The result shows that EOQ method can be used by company as consideration in appliying inventory control. EOQ method had lower total inventory cost than JIT method. Company could save cost by Rp 20,321,430.98. Moreover, by applying EOQ method, it also determines safety stock and reorder point to avoid stock out of raw materials and to make smoothness of production process. The company could purchase raw materials when the quantity of inventory which is available in warehouses (ROP) amounted to 203,564.43 yards, while the safety stock of 100% cotton woven fabric twill is 114,353.27 yards. The limitation of this research is it observed one kind of raw material i.e 100% cotton woven fabric twill only used one suggested method. For possible future research observing other raw materials may be done ; and also observing using different method besides EOQ method
