This research aimed to analyze the influence of educational level and work period on employee performance. Based on employee educational background and work experience, some of them got a bad predicate by performance assessment. The methods of collecting the data in this research used literature review, especially secondary data contained 34 employees as respondents. The analysis tool used multiple linear regression. The calculation showed that Y = 1,566 + 0,521X1 + 0,260X2. It means that result of regression gave a positive influence on employee performance. The result of Adjusted R Square showed that 16,6% employee performance at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX was determined by educational level and work period. While the rest of 83,4% was affected by other factors. Furthermore, educational level and work period had simultaneously affected on employee performance. Then in partial hypotheses or based t test, there was a positive significant effect of educational level on employee performance. It is suggested that the management of PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX should pay more attention to the education level and suitability of major on employee candidate, because it has the most dominant influence on employee performance. Furthermore, the company can also arrange education training workshop.
