Pengaruh marketing public relations (MPR terhadap peningkatan citra PDAM tirta moedal Kota Semarang



The problem that occured in PDAM Tirta Moedal Kota Semarang is the customers complaints. 47,69% of customers complaints about technique, 35,61% about financial and 16,70% about administration. The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze the influence of Marketing Public Relations (MPR) that is publications (X1), events (X2), public service activities (X3) and identity media (X4) to corporate image (Y) at PDAM Tirta Moedal Kota Semarang. The methods of data collection used in this research were observation, interview, literature study and questionnaires. The questionnaires used a simantic defferensial with 10 point scale and method of collecting the sample used was purposive sampling as many as 100 samples. The analysis tools used were test of validity, reliability test, normality test, heteroscedasticity test, multicollinerity test, linearity test, multiple linear regression, T test, F test, the coefficient of determination and multiple linear regression. Based on the calculations using SPSS version 16, the results of this research showed that the regression equation Y = 0,140 X1 + 0,283 X2 + 0,083 X3 + 0,396 X4 + e. In addition, the F test result of 42,546 which was bigger than F table was 2,47. It can be concluded the publications (X1), events (X2), public service activities (X3) and identity media (X4) had a significant influence to corporate image (Y). The T test result the variables publications (X1) and public service activities (X3) was less than T table and had a significance bigger than level significance of 0,05. So, variables publications (X1) and public service activities (X3) had no influence to corporate image (Y). The variables events (X2) and identity media (X4) was bigger than T table and had a significance less than level segnificance of 0,05. So, it can be concluded the events (X2) and identity media (X4) had a positive and significance influence to corporate image (Y). The most influence variable is identity media (X4) with the highest regression coefficient of 0,396.
