Smile Batik is a firm engaged in a creative industry of batik fashion that performs sales activities. It is located in 23 Sukun Raya Street in Banyumanik, Semarang. The sales condition of smile batik sales firm is relatively stagnant with market approach of direct selling. This method is not effective because the competitors have developed using the online shop approach. The purpose of this research is to develop e-commerce system based on content management system using wordpress framework website. The excellent features of this website are product galleries, online chat, and online purchases. The method used in the development of this website is a waterfall method that includes five steps such as system survey, system analysis, system design, system implementation, and system maintenance. The methods used of data collection were observation, interviews, and literature studies. The software used in the design of this website is WordPress version 4.7.5, adobe photoshop, and paint. The result of this website is the extent of target market areas such as inter-island market and foreign market potential. The product information can be accessed by consumers quickly and easily, consumers can chat online with the customer service, while product purchases can be online through shopping cart feature.
