As developing country, Indonesia relies on international trade activities through sub-sector in plantation to become one of its driving forces in economy. Indonesia is listed as one of the biggest cocoa producer countries in Asia and the world besides Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana. One of Indonesia’s main destination to export its cocoa is Malaysia. This research aims to know the development of the cocoa industry's export from Indonesia to Malaysia in 2008 up to the year 2014. The methods of this research use regression analysis and elasticity level. Independent variables of this study is the Price of cocoa, Rupiah exchange rate and GDP of Malaysia with dependent variables: Exportation Volume of Indonesia’s Cocoa to Malaysia. The data was obtained from the official website of the Central Bureau of Statistics, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, and Directorate General of Plantations of Indonesia. The result shows value of the coefficient of determination is 0.801 means the independent variables such as the Price of cocoa, Rupiah exchange rate and GDP of Malaysia affect 80.1% to dependent variable. Simultaneous test results showing the Price of cocoa, Rupiah exchange rate and GDP of Malaysia altogether influence the Volume of cocoa Exports from Indonesia to Malaysia significantly. While partial test results (t-test) indicates Exchange rate of Rupiah and Malaysia's GDP variables effect significantly, while the Cocoa Price variable has no effect to dependent variables. Based on this, the Government should focus more to improve the quality of the cocoa Indonesia in order to compete with other countries.
