PDAM Tirta Moedal Semarang is a monopoly company which distributing water in Semarang Region. This company has eight departments; which are Transmission and Distribution, Research and Development, Finance, Officialdom, Secretariat, Supplies, Planning and Evaluation, Equipment and Maintenance, and Production. The employees consist of the permanent employee and outsourcing employee. The objective of this final report is to find out the influence of compensation on the achievement motivation of transmission and distribution department employees at PDAM Tirta Moedal Semarang. Questionnaires, and literature studies are the instruments which as used to collect data. Questionnaires are distributed to 63 respondents. As for the sampling method, this research using census sampling. Simple linear regression coefficient was used to analyze the data. Regression analysis was used to determine the influence of compensation on the achievement motivation of transmission and distribution department employees at PDAM Tirta Moedal Semarang. The data showed that the calculation of regression coefficients was Y=1,538 + 0,571X. It meant that there was positive influence on the employees’ achievement motivation. The coeffient of determination was 0,372. It meant that the employees’ achievement motivation of 37,2% was influenced by compensation. While the rest of 62,8% was influenced by other factors. The value of variable regression coefficient indicated a positive effect; compensation had significant influence to employees’ achievement motivation. Therefore, the company should maintain the existing compensation and the company should be able to add more varieties of giving compensation
