Analisis pengendalian persediaan bahan baku produk baby fish crispy dengan metode EOQ (economic order quantity) pada UD Putri Laut Semarang



Optimal inventory within the company is one of the important factors of company’s performance. It will be achieved if the company can determine and ensure the availability of supplies of raw materials. UD Putri Laut is a manufacture company which the inventory control management uses traditional method. This study is conducted to compare the policy of inventory control of raw materials in UD Putri Laut to EOQ Method. The study method uses Quantitative Descriptive and the data collected by observation, interview and literature review. Optimal inventory in this study is determined by Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. EOQ is used because the result of calculation is accurate. The result of this study shows that the total of inventory cost with EOQ method is smaller than company’s inventory cost. EOQ method saves Rp 2.843.488,00 or 56,20% in a year which means that EOQ method is more efficient than its company own calculation. Therefore, this EOQ method can be used by UD Putri Laut Semarang EOQ to avoid deficiency and excess in supply of raw material.
