Pagar adalah struktur tegak yang dirancang untuk membatasi atau mencegah gerakan melintas batas dan menciptakan batas visual yang jelas. Pagar banyak dibuat dari bahan logam karena bahan logam lebih awet dan mudah dibentuk. Banyak orang yang merasa susunan jeruji saja tidak cukup, sehingga dipasang beberapa hiasan seperti hiasan yang berbentuk bunga, daun, binatang dan sebagainya. Dari latar belakang itulah dibuat press tool dengan sistem compound untuk membuat hiasan pagar bentuk kupu-kupu dengan bahan plat (low carbon steel) AISI 1018 dengan tebal 0.8 [mm]. Langkah awal yang dilakukan adalah menentukan desain yang akan digunakan dan jenis press tool yang akan digunakan. Press tool yang digunakan menggunakan sistem compound dengan pengerjaan blanking dan bending dalam satu kali prosesnya. Setelah itu perhitungan gaya-gaya yang terjadi dan pemilihan bahan press tool yang sesuai maka bisa ditentukan berapa dimensi yang digunakan agar konstruksi aman. Dilanjutkan dengan perhitungan biaya yang harus dikeluarkan maka bisa diketahui harga jual produk dan berapa lama waktu agar bisa mencapai BEP (Break Event Point). Dari perhitungan yang direncanakan untuk pengoperasian press tool menggunakan mesin press dengan kapasitas 20 [Ton]. Dimensi press tool 300 x 200 [mm]. Press tool ini mampu menghasilkan 394 unit per jam dengan hasil yang baik. Mencapai titik impas dalam waktu 1,02 bulan.
