The purposes of this final project are to design and apply the digital archive of information system in “Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional” (BKKBN) Central Java Province office in order to recover the archives records more quickly and easily. The archives information system is designed by using Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9.0 application. The fabrication of archives system uses the 7 phases: 1) the initial investigation phase, 2) the analysis phase, 3) the design phase, 4) the coding phase, 5) the debugging phase, 6) the implementing phase, and 7) the phase of installation system. The results of this final project is an application of archives/filling system that can be used in National Family Planning Coordinating Board’s (BKKBN) office of Central Java Province. This system will make the arcivist easier in managing the archives of incoming mail, outgoing mail, and official travel documents. After the installation of this system in the office of “Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional” (BKKBN), the storage and archival recording process will be faster. In addition, it will simplify the process of retrieving archives at any time if it is needed.
