The main purpose of this design is intended to develop a wind turbine design that utilizes simple construction elliptical blade, which is used to turn a generator. Turbines used type VAWT Savonius rotor elliptical type or types of L. The next step is testing to determine the characteristics of the turbine VAWT turbines. Tests carried out using a customized variation of wind speed with wind speeds in Indonesia. Light loads are varied, respectively 7, 9, 11, 15, and 18 Watts to seek maximum performance turbine. Calculation wind speed of 10-13 m / s will get the efficiency of the system at a speed of 13 m / s higher. Highest system efficiency at wind speed 13 m / s. This means that wind turbines experienced a trend increase in performance when the wind speed is higher. Test results on the generator battery charging with this turbine, the speed of 10-13 m / s, the highest voltage at wind speed 13 m / s with a charging time of 3000 seconds.
