The influence of work environment and work stress toward employee turnover intention at pt Samudera perdana selaras Semarang
Turnover phenomenon is the last action for employees in company when they find the working conditions are no longer suitable as expected. However, most of the turnover brought an adverse influence on the organization, both in terms of cost and in loss of time and chance to take advantage of opportunities. This research aims to analyze the influence of work environment (X1) and work stress (X2) toward employee turnover intention (Y) at PT Samudera Perdana Selaras Semarang. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with sample of 50 respondents. Data collection method uses a questionnaire with semantic differentiation scale and literature study. The data analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression by using SPSS version 23.0 software program. The results of this research conclude that: 1) work environment doesn’t partially influence on turnover intention, 2) work stress has positive and significant influence on turnover intention, 3) work environment and work stress simultaneously significant influence on turnover intention. The coefficient of determination shows that the contribution of independent variable effects the dependent variable by 41.2% and the rest 58.8% can be explained by other variables outside the model which are not examined in this research.
