Pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan Terhadap Motivasi Kerja Karyawan Tirta Bumi Serasi PDAM Kab. Semarang



The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze the influence of leadership style that is autocratic leadership style (X1), democratic leadership style (X2) and lassize faire leadership style (X3) to employee motivation (Y) at Tirta Bumi Serasi PDAM Kabupaten Semarang. The methods of data collection used in this research were observation, interview, literature study and questionnaires. The questionnaires used a likert scale with 5 point scale and method of collecting the sample used was purposive sampling as many as 40 samples. The analysis tools used were test of validity, reliability test, T test, F test, the coefficient of determination and multiple linear regression. Based on the calculations using SPSS version 22, the results of this research showed that the regression equation Y= 5,499 - 0, 015X1 +0, 606X2 +0,067X3. It can be concluded the autocratic leadership style (X1), democratic leadership style (X2) and laissize faire leadership style (X3) had a significant influence to employee motivation (Y). Variables autocratic leadership style (X1) and lassize faire leadership style (X3) had no influence to employee motivation (Y). The variables democratic leadership style (X2) was bigger than t table and had a significance less than level segnificance of 0,05. So, it can be concluded the democratic leadership style (X2) had a positive and significance influence to employee motivation (Y). The most influence variable democratic leadership style (X2) with the highest regression coefficient of 0,606.
