The purposes of this final project are, to determine whether the raw material inventory control is applied by PT Multi Kimia Raya Nusantara is optimal in reducing the cost of production, and to specify the number of bookings that are economical to ABS (Alkil Benzen Sulfonat) and to determine the minumum total cost of inventory. Optimal inventory within the company is one of the important factors of company’s perfomance. PT Multi Kimia Raya Nusantara is a manufacture and industrion company which the inventory control management uses traditional method. The study used a descriptive quantitative method for the study relates to the object of research is on companies with a certain time to collect data and information relating to the company and adapted to the purposes of research. Descriptive analysis techniques were used to analyze the data on raw material inventory control problem in an effort to reduce the cost of production that is using the economic order quantity (EOQ). The result of this study shows that the total cost of inventory cost with EOQ method is smaller than company’s inventory cost. In year 2014 until 2016 PT Multi Kimia Raya Nusantara can saves Rp8.717.644if uses EOQ method. Therefore, the EOQ method can be used by PT Multi Kimia Raya Nusantara to avoid deficiency and excess in supply of raw material
