Each importer expect to import goods categorized green lane for cost savings and reduction in dwelling time. However the imported goods were indicated as the Memorandum of Intelligent will require additional cost and overtime in stacking container. The purpose of this study is to determine the procedures of handling import goods that indicated as Memorandum of Intelligent and administrative procedures and port handling costs in issuance of containers indicated as Memorandum of Intelligent. The method used in this research is Descriptive Method and data is collecting by documentation. In order to describe procedures of handling imported goods indicated as Memorandum of Intelligent handled by PT Lautan Artha Mas Semarang. If is known that process of taking import goods which need longer time and extra costs due to indications as Memorandum of Intelligent. Although the denotation of Memorandum of Intelligent was not proven, the checking of designated as Memorandum of Intelligent of import goods was conducted. Therefore, Importer bore additional cost for unloading and loading products checked in the examination. In addition, the dwelling time is be longer than products categorized in green lane.
